I am excited to announce some operational changes to improve the service we provide to you as valued customers. We have been listening to many of you who have been generous in telling us how we can improve the level of service to you. After months of listening and internally creating cross-functional teams to plan how to support your needs, we are pleased to announce the changes. First: Centralize the management of loads, equipment, and customer service to improve service, responsiveness, and communications to you regarding changes in your loads, shipments, appointments and other pertinent information you request. The central operation will operate in the Atlanta metropolitan area of our Southeast region. The process will be carried out in Phases beginning in August. We do not expect disruptions in service or capabilities during this transition. The plan calls for the completion of the centralization by the end of August. Further communications on timing will be communicated to provide advanced notice to all of you. The operation will be 24 by 7 to provide continuous communication to customers and to our drivers who provide the service to you. Your telephone numbers and emails you use today will not change. As a result of the centralization of operations, some functions historically performed in the regions will be repositioned to the central operation. In all of our current regions, Gemini will maintain customers, driver recruiting, safety, sales, and maintenance operations. Some employees in the discontinued operations are permanently moving to the Central Atlanta operation and will help provide additional continuity in understanding the unique needs of all of you, our drivers, and our owner operators. Second. The NY metropolitan region in Edison, New Jersey will be moving to a new location in the same region sometime in the fall of 2008. The current terminal has been leased since Gemini moved there over eight (8) years ago. Gemini will not renew the lease because we have the opportunity to eliminate the cost by moving into a nearby location already part of the Refrigerated Holdings operation, East Coast Warehouse in Elizabeth and Jersey City, New Jersey just twenty (20) minutes away. By centralizing our resources and partnering with East Coast Warehouse, we become a stronger, more competitive operation from coast to coast in the warehousing and transportation industry. This action is crucial to maintaining our competitive edge in a challenging market. We will provide further details once they become clear. As you may know to better serve you, all Finance and Accounting functions have already been relocated from Edison to the Refrigerated Holdings (RHI) corporate office in metro Atlanta earlier this month. Given the economic climate and recent news of multiple trucking companies closing operations, opportunists may suggest Gemini is closing some markets. I want to take this time to be clear Gemini will continue full operations in all regions we operate today. In fact we believe that with this transition, Gemini will be better positioned to meet a broader array of your needs, not less. We are instituting the changes in response to you, our customers who have challenged us to improve service, communications, electronic reporting and improve costs. The operational focus remains the transport of temperature-sensitive commodities that require on-time delivery to meet production deadlines. Gemini has prospered through a program of controlled growth and investment in equipment, technology, and human resources. Our combined efforts will allow Gemini to continue to be a nationally recognized quality-intensive specialized truck line. We thank you for your loyalty, trust and support.
